Refund Policy — Get N Dial Info Service Pvt Ltd
Last updated:
We try to make refund rules as honest as the rest of our pricing. The short version: if you cancel before we've started work, you get a full refund (minus payment-gateway charges, which we don't keep). If we've started work, you get a partial refund pro-rated to what's been done. Government fees, the money paid directly to a government portal or certification body, are not refundable from us, because we don't have them; the government does. Below is the long version, with 3 real examples.
1. When you can request a refund
You may request a refund within 7 calendar days of payment, provided that:
- The engagement letter has been signed but we have not yet begun substantive work on your behalf, meaning we have not yet filed an application, drafted a deliverable, or paid a government fee on your behalf.
- OR you can show that we failed to deliver the service per the agreed scope (this can be requested any time during the engagement).
After 7 days, refund requests are evaluated case-by-case under the partial-refund framework in section 3.
2. What's not refundable
2.1 Government fees and third-party fees. These are paid directly by us on your behalf to a government portal, statutory body, or certification body, for example:
- GST registration: ₹0 government fee in most cases (registration is free), though a CA's digital signature certificate (DSC) may carry a separate ₹1,000–₹2,500 fee depending on the issuing authority
- Trademark application: government fee ₹4,500 (individual / startup) or ₹9,000 (others) per class, per the Trade Marks Rules 2017
- FSSAI Central licence: government fee from ₹7,500/year upwards depending on tier
- IEC code: government fee ₹500
- ISO certification: certification body audit fee (varies; typically ₹15,000–₹40,000+ depending on body and scope)
- HALAL certification: certifying authority fee (varies by authority)
Once these fees are paid to the government or certifying body, we cannot recover them. They are non-refundable from us.
2.2 Document retrieval / DSC procurement costs. If we have purchased a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) or paid a notary / apostille fee on your behalf, those costs are non-refundable.
2.3 Work already delivered. Time we have spent on your engagement (calls, draft preparation, document scrutiny, advisory) is not refundable.
3. Partial refunds
If you cancel after work has begun, we calculate the refund as:
"Work-in-progress value" is calculated against the engagement-letter milestones. Default milestone breakdown for most services:
| Milestone | % of fee earned |
|---|---|
| Engagement letter signed, kick-off call done | 10% |
| Documents received and verified by us | 20% |
| Application drafted / prepared | 50% |
| Application filed with government or certifying body | 80% |
| Approval / certificate received and handed to you | 100% |
For example, if the application has been drafted (50% earned) but not filed, and no government fees were yet paid, your refund is:
Custom engagements (web development, branding) have their own milestone breakdown stated in the engagement letter, and that breakdown overrides the default table above.
4. How to request a refund
-

+91 8593 888 837and ask for the refund team. - We acknowledge within 2 working days.

5. How long the refund takes
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–14 working days from your acceptance of the refund calculation.
- UPI / NetBanking refunds: typically 3–5 working days
- Card refunds: 7–10 working days (bank-side delay)
- Cheque-based refunds (rare): 10–14 working days
You will get an email and WhatsApp confirmation when the refund is initiated, with a reference number.
6. What happens if the government rejects the application
This is the case that genuinely matters and where most compliance brands hide their position. Here is ours.
6.1 If the rejection is due to our error. We file applications carefully, but mistakes happen. If we filed wrong information, missed a documentation requirement that was published and known, or filed late, the rejection is on us. In that case, we will:
- Re-file the application at our cost, including paying the second government fee out of our pocket; OR
- At your choice, refund our consulting fee in full plus reimburse the wasted government fee.
You pick which one. We don't.
6.2 If the rejection is due to your information. If we filed based on what you provided, and the government rejects because (for example) your business address didn't match your utility bill, your PAN had a typo, or your trademark conflicted with an existing mark we couldn't have known about, the rejection is on you. In that case:
- We will re-file once at a reduced consulting fee (typically 50% of original).
- The fresh government fee is paid by you.
6.3 If the rejection is due to government / policy reasons. If your application meets all stated requirements but is rejected anyway (rare, but happens: for example, a policy change mid-process or a notice issued by the Trademark Registry on grounds that weren't in the rule book at filing time):
- We will appeal or re-file at no additional consulting fee.
- The government fee for the appeal / re-filing is paid by you.
- If the appeal succeeds, no further charge.
- If the appeal fails, we will refund our consulting fee minus actual costs incurred (typically a 50% refund).
7. If you disagree with our refund decision
- Reply to the refund email with your objection and any supporting evidence within 7 working days.
- We will review and respond within 7 working days.
- If still unresolved, the dispute follows the grievance redressal process in section 11 of our Privacy Policy.
8. 3 honest examples
These are stylised but typical.
Example A: Full refund
Rajesh, a kirana shop owner in Tirur, pays for the "barcode pack of 5" on Monday morning. On Monday evening, his cousin in Dubai tells him he actually needs GS1-registered barcodes for a GCC retailer, not our non-GS1 codes. He WhatsApps us Tuesday morning. We have not yet generated the barcode pack. We refund the full amount (less the 2% payment-gateway fee, which the gateway keeps, not us). He goes to gs1india.org.
Refund: 98% of his payment back to him.
Example B: Partial refund
Smitha, who runs a small organic-foods D2C brand in Kochi, engages us for FSSAI Central licence and pays our consulting fee plus the government fee upfront. 2 weeks in, we have verified her documents and drafted the application but not yet filed it. She decides to pause her launch and asks for a refund.
- Consulting fee earned: 50% (drafted but not filed)
- Government fee paid out: 0 (not yet filed)
- Refundable: (full payment) − (50% of consulting fee) − (0 government fee paid)
Refund: the full government-fee component plus half her consulting fee.
Example C: Non-refundable
Ahmed, an exporter in Calicut, engages us for ISO 9001 certification with a non-IAF body. We complete the documentation, file with the certifying body, the certifying body conducts the Stage 1 audit, finds substantial non-conformities (incomplete management system records), and pauses certification. Ahmed asks for a refund.
- Our consulting work: 100% delivered. Non-refundable.
- Certifying body audit: 80% delivered (Stage 1 done). Non-refundable from us. The certifying body has the money and the policy is theirs.
Refund: nil. But we will continue to support the corrective actions at no extra consulting charge so Ahmed can recover the engagement.
