About ISO certification

Get N Dial has been issuing ISO certifications for Indian SMBs since 2014: manufacturers in Malappuram, hospitals in Kottayam, restaurants in Calicut, IT firms in Kochi. We are a consultancy: we handle the gap analysis, write the documentation, run the internal audit, and coordinate the certification body audit. The certificate is issued by a third-party body. We name which body and which accreditation board (NABCB, IAS, EGAC) in writing before you pay. Real timelines are 15 to 45 days depending on standard and scope. No shortcut promises, no IAF logo on this page.

We're ISO 9001:2015 certified ourselves — we've been through the process you're about to start.

Which ISO standard?

Which ISO standard do you need?

  • ISO 9001:2015

Quality Management, the most-requested standard. 15–30 day SMB cycle.

  • ISO 14001:2015

Environmental Management, for manufacturers and exporters. 20–35 days.

  • ISO 22000:2018

Food Safety Management. Pairs with FSSAI. 20–40 days.

  • ISO 27001:2022

Information Security, for IT, SaaS, BPO, fintech. 60–90 days.

  • ISO 45001:2018

Occupational H&S, for factories, construction, logistics. 25–45 days.

Many businesses hold 2 or 3 standards in parallel. A Kerala food manufacturer often holds ISO 9001 + ISO 22000 + ISO 14001. A factory often holds ISO 9001 + ISO 14001 + ISO 45001. Bundled audits save 15–25% over running each separately. Tell us your buyer requirements on WhatsApp and we will quote the combination, not the standards in isolation.

Accreditation tiers

When the certificate matters: IAF vs Non-IAF.

There are 2 tiers of ISO certification recognition globally: IAF-accredited (carries the International Accreditation Forum Mutual Recognition Arrangement, accepted across 100+ countries) and non-IAF (cheaper, valid for many domestic uses but not interchangeable with the IAF tier). Both are real certificates from real certification bodies. The difference is the accreditation chain behind the body, and it matters more for some buyers than others. We can help you with either. Be honest about what you need before you pay.

IAF-accredited Non-IAF
What it is Certificate issued by a body accredited by an IAF-member board (NABCB India, UKAS UK, ANAB US, IAS, EGAC) Certificate issued by a real body that sits outside the IAF chain
Global recognition Yes: IAF MLA across 100+ countries Discretionary: depends on the receiving party
Government tenders Accepted by most Indian central + state tenders specifying ISO Often rejected when language says "NABCB-accredited" or "IAF-recognised"
Amazon exports, GCC + EU buyers Required Not accepted
Flipkart, Meesho, regional, internal use Fine, but you pay for more than you need Fine, and you save 60–80%
Typical cost Price varies: request quote Price varies: request quote
Timeline 20–45 days (formal audit cycle) 5–15 days (compressed audit cycle)

What's included

What you get when you hire us.

  • Documentation prep (the part that takes the most time)

Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, records templates, internal audit checklists, all written and tailored to your business. We interview your team, document what you actually do (or build from scratch if you have no SOPs), and deliver a documented management system an auditor will accept.

  • Internal audit (and the management review)

We run the internal audit before the certification body shows up. We sit with your management team, walk through the management review checklist, identify the gaps the external auditor would have raised, and fix them first. Internal audit reports and management review minutes are delivered as PDFs you can keep.

  • Certification body coordination (named, not hidden)

We name the certification body and the accreditation board in writing before you pay a rupee. No "internationally accredited" without a name. We book the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits, coordinate with the lead auditor, prep your team for the audit interviews, and hand over the soft + hard copies of the certificate when issued.

  • Post-certification surveillance support

ISO certificates run on a 3-year cycle with annual surveillance audits in Year 2 and Year 3. We remind you 6 weeks before each surveillance audit, prep the records pack, brief your team, and coordinate with the certification body. Surveillance audit fees are quoted upfront: no surprise invoice in Year 2.

Our process

How the 15–45 day process actually runs.

  1. Free consultation

15-minute WhatsApp or call. You describe your business, buyer requirement, employee count, sites. We tell you which standard fits, IAF vs non-IAF, timeline and price band. No commitment, no callback game.

  2. Gap analysis

We visit your site (or run a structured remote interview), document your current processes against the standard's clauses, and write a gap analysis report. You see exactly what is missing and what we will write for you.

  3. Documentation

We draft the Quality Manual, SOPs, work instructions, and records templates. You review, request edits, sign off. This is the longest phase for businesses without existing documentation; faster for businesses already running clean processes.

  4. Internal audit

Internal audit walkthrough on-site (Kerala) or via video for other states. Management review meeting. Non-conformance log fixed. Records ready for the external auditor.

  5. Certification body audit

Stage 1 audit (documentation review) and Stage 2 audit (on-site, witnessed). The lead auditor raises any final non-conformances. We support you through the closure of each one. For ISO 27001, this phase runs 35–75 days due to control depth.

  6. Certificate issued

Certification decision is issued by the body. Soft copy within 5–7 working days of audit closure; hard copy follows by post. We hand over the logo-use guidelines, the surveillance audit calendar, and the Year 2 + Year 3 bundle quote.

Why us

Why Indian SMBs hire us.

  • India-wide, Kerala-headquartered, English and Malayalam support

India-wide service, Kerala HQ. On-site visits across Malappuram, Kozhikode, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Kollam at no extra travel cost for SMB scopes. WhatsApp replies in English or Malayalam. Real office, real team, Onam-time and pre-monsoon site visits planned around your operational calendar.

  • Transparent on IAF vs non-IAF

Every quote names the certification body and the accreditation board. Every page says when the cheaper non-IAF cert is enough and when you need the IAF chain. We have walked clients away from a cheap certificate they did not need and toward a more expensive accredited one they did. The opposite has also happened.

  • Real timelines, written upfront

15–30 days for a single-site SMB with running processes. 30–45 for multi-site or build-from-scratch. 60–90 for ISO 27001. Anyone selling you ISO 9001 inside a single day is selling you something the certification body cannot legitimately issue at that speed.

  • Documentation included (that is the work)

80% of the consulting fee is documentation. Quality Manual, SOPs, work instructions, records templates, internal audit checklists, all written for your business, not pulled from a template pack. If a consultant tells you "we will help you fill in the gaps" without writing the documents, you are paying for a phone call.

How we scope engagements

What affects your ISO certification scope.

Every engagement is scoped per project: same standard, same body, different scope produces a different quote. The factors below are how we work out yours. WhatsApp us with your standard, employee count, and site count, and you get a written, itemised quote in 30 minutes: certification body name, audit fee, our consultancy fee, and the Year 2 + 3 surveillance bundle.

Factor Why it changes the price
Turnover band Certification body audit fees scale with company size: a small SMB pays a smaller audit fee than a mid-cap.
Scope Single-site, single-product scope is the cheapest. Multi-site or multi-product scope adds audit days.
Standard ISO 9001 is the cheapest. ISO 22000 and 14001 sit middle. ISO 27001 is the most expensive because of Annex A control documentation depth.
IAF vs non-IAF IAF-accredited audits cost 2–4× non-IAF because the audit cycle is formal and the accreditation board oversight has a real cost.
Industry Regulated industries (food, pharma, medical devices, IT/SaaS) have deeper control documentation requirements.
Existing documentation If you already run clean SOPs and records, we are documenting what exists. If you are building from scratch, we are writing the whole management system.

FAQ

Common questions before you hire an ISO consultant.

How long does ISO 9001 certification actually take?

For a single-site SMB with processes already running, 15 to 30 working days for a non-IAF certificate and 20 to 45 working days for an IAF-accredited certificate. The non-IAF path is faster because the certification body audit is less formal. The IAF path runs gap analysis (week 1), documentation (week 2 to 3), internal audit (week 4), Stage 1 and Stage 2 external audits (week 5 to 6) and certification decision (week 7). ISO 27001 takes 60 to 90 days because of the Statement of Applicability depth. We give you a written timeline before you pay.

What is the cheapest ISO certification I can buy?

Non-IAF ISO 9001 is the cheapest, and you will see it advertised on Google from INR 2,999 to INR 9,999. It is a real certificate from a real certification body, but the body is not in the IAF chain. That means it is fine for internal quality use, internal supplier audits, and many domestic SMB needs, but it will fail when the buyer specifies an IAF-recognised certificate (most government tenders and most export buyers do). Talk to us before paying for the cheap version, sometimes it is the right call, sometimes it is money wasted.

Do I really need ISO if I am just selling on Flipkart?

Usually no. Flipkart, Meesho, Snapdeal and most regional retail chains do not require an ISO certificate to onboard a seller. You will need GST, FSSAI (if food), trademark (if branded) and a barcode, but ISO is a separate buyer requirement that kicks in when you are quoting for government tenders, listing as an enterprise supplier, exporting, or pitching to large corporate buyers. If you are unsure whether your buyer needs it, send us the tender document or the buyer email on WhatsApp and we will read it and tell you.

What is the difference between IAF-accredited and non-IAF ISO certification?

IAF (International Accreditation Forum) accreditation means the certification body is audited and recognised by an IAF-member accreditation board. NABCB in India, UKAS in the UK, ANAB in the US. IAF-accredited certificates carry the IAF Mutual Recognition Arrangement, which is what makes the certificate recognised across 100+ countries and accepted by government tenders, exports and large private buyers. Non-IAF certificates are issued by certification bodies that are not in the IAF chain. They cost a fraction and are valid for internal use and many domestic buyers, but they are not interchangeable with IAF certificates. We disclose the accreditation status of every certificate before you commit and recommend the path that matches your buyer.

Will my ISO certificate be recognised internationally?

If your certificate is issued by an IAF-accredited certification body, it carries the IAF MLA mark and is recognised by IAF members across 100+ countries. If your certificate is non-IAF, it will not carry the MLA mark and international acceptance is at the discretion of the receiving party. For exporters and businesses targeting GCC, Europe or North America, we always recommend the IAF-accredited path. For domestic-only SMBs serving regional retailers, non-IAF is often sufficient. We confirm in writing which path you are on before the audit.

How often do I need to renew my ISO certificate?

Every 3 years. ISO certificates have a 3-year cycle. In Year 1 you receive the certificate after the initial audit. In Year 2 and Year 3 you go through a shorter annual surveillance audit to confirm the management system is still running. At the end of Year 3, you go through a full recertification audit and the cycle restarts. Surveillance audits typically cost 30 to 50 per cent of the original audit fee. We quote Year 1 + Year 2 + Year 3 as a bundle so you can budget for the full cycle upfront.

Do you handle the documentation work, or do I write it?

We handle the documentation work. That is the whole point of hiring a consultant. We deliver the Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, records templates and internal audit checklists tailored to your business; you do not write them. Your team contributes the inputs (what you actually do today, who does what, what records you already keep) and we turn that into a documented management system that an external auditor will accept. For SMBs with no existing SOPs, we build from scratch. For businesses already running clean processes, we document what you already do.

What if my company has multiple branches or sites?

Multi-site scopes are quoted separately because the certification body audit fee scales with site count. 2 common approaches: certify a single primary site and reference branches in scope, or run a multi-site sampling audit where the certification body audits a subset of sites under a unified management system. We help you choose the right approach based on size, geographic spread and how your management system actually runs. WhatsApp us the list of sites and we will scope it in writing.

Ready to scope your ISO certification?

Tell us your business name, employee count, location, the standard you need (or "not sure"), and your buyer's accreditation requirement if you know it. We reply on WhatsApp with the certification body name, audit fee, our consultancy fee, the realistic timeline, and the Year 2 – Year 3 surveillance bundle, usually within 30 minutes during business hours.
